Two small arms to hold you tight, two small feet to run, two small eyes full of love for you, three small sons.

1st Big Hunt

This morning was our neighborhood egg hunt. This was Trenton's first "real" hunt. I guess we did some at my sister's house last year but he didn't really know what was going on. Our neighborhood is serious about this event, huge turnout!

Posing before the hunt, sun was a little bright.

Our neighborhood clubhouse is right behind our house so we strolled on over for donuts and juice.

Fueling up before the hunt, gotta be loaded full of sugar. That is a serious gameface...

Sweet gameface...we had to wait for about 15 min. for the other kids to get there. He kept asking when we could go!

This year they separated the preschoolers from the "schoolers"....some major head butting accidents last year.

And he's off! I caught it all on my video camera, so stinking cute. His face was so serious as he ran around.

This was the funny part...after he had enough, he just kept running back to our house. He said "I'm going home!" Either he couldn't wait to see what was in those eggs or he didn't want to socialize anymore.

The goods.

He struck gold on the first egg!

After the egg hunt, we went and picked up Daddy at work and went to the Augustine/Trent Trumbo Easter Feed. This was an event that was named after Trenton's grandpa, Trent. It's a free Easter dinner open to the public. Trenton got introduced after the blessing. Everyone there can't wait to see the little Trent fill grandpa Trent's shoes. Trenton just got to socialize a little -which is what Grandpa Trent would have been doing!
We are excited about the real meaning of Easter tomorrow. The egg hunts, bunnies, and candy are all fun but the real excitement comes tomorrow when we celebrate the empty tomb of Jesus and all He did and does for us so we can have LIFE!

Spring has Sprung!

Finally....things are looking more like spring (feeling like it anyway). Still waiting for things to green up around here. Trenton keeps saying "I don't see spring." But when he see's anything that is green (weeds mainly), he says "Look! There's spring!" So cute. We have been trying to get outside as much as possible, even eating outside. I actually found great joy in weeding some of my beds yesterday. Trenton enjoys finding ladybugs, ants, and whatever creepy crawlys he can find. He stays away from the spiders though (thank goodness). He goes from one sport to the other in a matter of seconds, our backyard is a collection of at least 3 soccer balls, many balls/bats, well....you get the point. Here are some pics from his first golf outing of 2010. His golf manners are still very good. He knows when he can't talk and stays in the cart until it's his turn. This might be the first year he actually listens to me when I tell him that those sand traps aren't his personal sandboxes.

Water-check, popcorn-check, where is my caddy?

His favorite thing to do is hit balls in the water. I know we shouldn't probably teach that but he thinks its hilarious. This sport could get expensive for daddy this summer :)

Go ahead and take a 20 Trenton, seriously, pick it up already.

Left arm is almost straight....he's not the "big easy" he's the "little easy". (For those of you who know who Ernie Els is)

Can't wait for many more golf outings (with dad). Mommy is so excited about that :)

Nick Jr. Story Time

Last night, we went to the Walton Arts Center to see Nick Jr's Storytime Live. There were four little shows with Moose A. Moose and Zee doing puzzle time between the shows. Trenton was most excited about seeing the Wonder Pets but all were cute (Ni Hau Kilan-sp???, Dora, Backyardagains) This was his first "show/play" so it was really fun to watch him.

We ate at Hog Haus before (across the street) and the whole place was filled with kids! (Not the greatest pic of either of us)

Trenton holding his ticket watching the show.

Daddy and Trenton before the show. Trenton was so afraid to look away from the stage and miss it starting.

Hopefully our last "playing in the snow" pic until maybe Chirstmas 2010. I was such a grouch with this snowfall....ridiculous. But....it's GONE and we're going to a baseball game tomorrow so I'm over it.

Here are some letters I made for Trevor's room. Now...I just need to hang them! On the agenda for tomorrow!
Funny note: Right before we got out of the car today to get T's haircut, I turned around and said "Oh Trenton, you have a huge booger hanging out of your nose" He said "Are you serious?!"

What we've been up to...

We've had lots of good times these past few weeks. These pics start from most recent. Loving the time change (maybe only moms who work actually love the time change...we have a few hours of daylight with our little ones before bedtime!) Plus, I can't sleep anyway so now everyone has to get up with me!
This first pic is of T tonight. His teacher told me that he did not take a nap today. For some reason, he thought I was coming at naptime so he wouldn't close his eyes (a little heartbreaking...ok a lot) This may not sound like a big deal....but let me tell you, it is! He has NEVER missed a nap at school like EVER! This kid runs like a fine oiled machine and this is what happens at 6:40pm if the machine breaks..

I tried to wake him....took his clothes off....put on his jammies/pullup......threw him in bed...and he never woke up! I didn't know what do with myself with no child to chase this evening. Well, I am obviously finally blogging.

Trenton's stach he is so proud of compliments of LaHuerta. Trenton says "Hola amigos!"

Eating pot pie last night. Sitting at the bar is a must these days. He saw a stack of papers next to him and out poked a pic of Santa and him (Matt cleaned his desk off). Trenton said "Hey...there's Santa!.....he was a pretty nice guy!"

Cheese ball

Reagan and my sis Michelle came for a bit last weekend to shop. Reagan and Trenton eating snacks at the bar of course.

Reagan tootie

Watching tv...I acutally think they were watching that Bear guy on that survivor man show.

Papa John (my dad) came to visit last week. He is recently retired! and sooooo happy about it. "Every night is fri night and every day is sat!" That is his new motto...seriously. Trenton loves him some Papa John. He is in awe of his height, wants to be big like him (likely),and watches him closely. If my dad has on boots, Trenton goes and puts boots on. If my dad says "I have big stinky feet" Trenton wants big stinky feet too.
Trenton at Chuck E Cheese. Whack a mole! A personal fav.

Trenton and Daddy on a simulator ride. Trenton's face is about as serious as a heart attack the whole time. He was like that at Silver Dollar City this summer too. The most exciting rides and roller coasters and he shows NO emotion until the ride is over, then he smiles...too funny.

Catching Up!

Ok, time to catch up! I have been checking blogs lately, but not posting myself. Going through a lazy posting slump or something. Trenton is making us laugh constantly these days (what 2 yo doesn't make you laugh though). His new phrase: "I'm sorry bout that." May not sound that funny but the way he uses it and the WAY he says it is hilarious or as Trenton says "harious". He is becoming more and more obsessed with trains by the minute and is loving on his little brother, Trevor (in the belly), a lot. He likes to lay on him, listen to him toot (my stomach growling), and talk to him. Trenton thinks he is going to come out big and ready to play. Boy is he in for a shocker....I know how time flies and they WILL be playing together but in the moment it seems like they are tiny and do NOTHING forever! HA Here are some pics from the last few weeks.

New playgroup..well this pic is about 3 weeks old. Looking at everyone else's photo of the kids, mine is even worse. Trenton was excited to have a big boy buddy, TREVOR! This is going to get confusing....

Making brownies with Mommy a few weeks ago. Trenton loves helping in the kitchen...he can practically make his own Easy Mac (an essential life skill I might add).

Trenton on Sunday with some major Spring Fever. We ALL smiled a little bigger this weekend!

On the back of his Jeep. Rides this all over the backyard. When the back tires spin, he gets out and looks under the hood. I swear I did not teach him this.....creepy.

What's that I see.......green sprouts???.....day lillies????? Yipee!!

Sweet Will

T and I came to Conway yesterday to meet baby Will. He is just perfect and looks so tiny. Here are some pics that my step dad took yesterday.

Meet you mommy and daddy.
Look at that good looking mom (and dad :)). My mom made her hospital gown. She also made a matching sling, nursing cover, taggie, burp clothes, and swaddler. She better get to work for baby Trevor!! HA

Mom and Rach decorated her door with some of her bows from shower presents and left over decorations from her teacher/class shower.

Welcome Baby Will!!

My sis, Jenny, had her baby boy, Will, this am!! Yipee!! I'm an aunt again! He was 7lb 14oz and 20.5 in. long. Makes me excited about Trevor coming in June. All of us girls just keep having boys!! My stepdad said that the curse is now lifted though since there are 5 grandbaby boys now. 5 is the magic number since there are 5 of us girls! When I say curse...you know what I mean....boys aren't really a curse, my mom is just ready to sew some girly stuff! I'm sure there are plenty more to come.....
Here is a random pic from when Trenton was 13 months. Look at that round face! And just 4 teeth! Same happy boy.

The boy LOVES candy

The Vday presents are rollin in for this little guy! Last night, we got a package from Aunt Jo, Aunt Wendy, and Uncle Bill from Destin. Trenton went crazy for all the candy...of course! Also, notice the Valentines tie shirt from my mom, Trenton's "nina". There's a small heart that supposed to look like a tie tac..HA Thanks for the cavites....I mean candy and goodies! :)

Sheer joy
So proud of his gummie sucker..

Hmmm. I'm going to tear into this....

Two handed tear into it!! (The crazy hair is after a wild day at school, went with a mohawk, came home looking homeless).

20 week ultrasound

Well....it's a beautiful, healthy, baby BOY!! I really never had a doubt, although every now and then my eyes strayed to baby girl clothes.

He looks perfect already. He has been making his presence known to me for about a month now already. His big feet and long legs have been making some bigger movements this week. He is 11oz. today.

I think I heard Matt sigh a sigh of relief over there in the corner with Trenton. Trenton seems excited to have a brother although I'm still convincing him that it's human, not a monkey like his daddy tells him..... After I told Trenton where the new baby would sleep he thought of a better idea of putting him in the bathroom. I am getting a small glimpse of how this relationship is gonna go. I can't wait.. poor Gretchen (our grouchy chiwauwa). The chainsaws and machine guns have almost put her over the edge, it's about to be 2 to 1.

The name we have picked is not 100% yet so I won't reveal anything yet. Matt is 95% on it. He'll come around...

I am making plans now for Trenton's new room and baby's room. I can now order the stuff I really want for Trenton's room (wasn't going to spend it if we had to buy all new stuff for girl). I am revamping Trenton's baby bedding. Adding orange to the chocolate/cream scheme. Shouldn't be too much work (since my mom's gonna do it :)).

Heading to Bella Jack's buy 1 get 2 free!! I gotta buy SOMTHING!! Matt got off so easy!

Snowed In

Here are OUR snow pics everyone. Everyone else has theirs up. We got ice the night before (maybe an inch) then it snowed almost all day Fri, and not just a little, it was a blizzard! Matt got to come home early so he took Trenton outside to play and sled down the driveway (in the recycling bin lid--whoo hoo!) Looks like we are going to be at home all day today too.

Eating a snowball his daddy told him to throw at me while sledding.

Making snow angels. He saw Max and Ruby do this the other day. He was pretty excited!

Playing around the house. Trenton likes to build "nests".

Jumping in his nest.

Labels

These are the stickers that Trenton got on his back yesterday while I went to the gym. I kind of chuckled when I saw the second one but thought it was a great idea. I started thinking about that while I worked out (more like strolled around the track) and thought "what if we had a label on our back with one word summing us up for that day?" I thought of many things mine could say but right now I just want it to say "pregnant." I feel very pregnant although I don't look very pregnant so I would want everyone to know why it look like I drank too much beer or had a really good Christmas. What would your label say???
