This morning was our neighborhood egg hunt. This was Trenton's first "real" hunt. I guess we did some at my sister's house last year but he didn't really know what was going on. Our neighborhood is serious about this event, huge turnout!
Posing before the hunt, sun was a little bright.
Our neighborhood clubhouse is right behind our house so we strolled on over for donuts and juice.
Fueling up before the hunt, gotta be loaded full of sugar. That is a serious gameface...
Sweet gameface...we had to wait for about 15 min. for the other kids to get there. He kept asking when we could go!
This year they separated the preschoolers from the "schoolers"....some major head butting accidents last year.
And he's off! I caught it all on my video camera, so stinking cute. His face was so serious as he ran around.
This was the funny part...after he had enough, he just kept running back to our house. He said "I'm going home!" Either he couldn't wait to see what was in those eggs or he didn't want to socialize anymore.
The goods.
He struck gold on the first egg!
After the egg hunt, we went and picked up Daddy at work and went to the Augustine/Trent Trumbo Easter Feed. This was an event that was named after Trenton's grandpa, Trent. It's a free Easter dinner open to the public. Trenton got introduced after the blessing. Everyone there can't wait to see the little Trent fill grandpa Trent's shoes. Trenton just got to socialize a little -which is what Grandpa Trent would have been doing!
Water-check, popcorn-check, where is my caddy?
His favorite thing to do is hit balls in the water. I know we shouldn't probably teach that but he thinks its hilarious. This sport could get expensive for daddy this summer :)
Go ahead and take a 20 Trenton, seriously, pick it up already.
Left arm is almost straight....he's not the "big easy" he's the "little easy". (For those of you who know who Ernie Els is)
Can't wait for many more golf outings (with dad). Mommy is so excited about that :)
We ate at Hog Haus before (across the street) and the whole place was filled with kids! (Not the greatest pic of either of us)
Trenton holding his ticket watching the show.
Daddy and Trenton before the show. Trenton was so afraid to look away from the stage and miss it starting.
Hopefully our last "playing in the snow" pic until maybe Chirstmas 2010. I was such a grouch with this snowfall....ridiculous. But....it's GONE and we're going to a baseball game tomorrow so I'm over it.
Here are some letters I made for Trevor's room. Now...I just need to hang them! On the agenda for tomorrow!
Trenton's stach he is so proud of compliments of LaHuerta. Trenton says "Hola amigos!"
Eating pot pie last night. Sitting at the bar is a must these days. He saw a stack of papers next to him and out poked a pic of Santa and him (Matt cleaned his desk off). Trenton said "Hey...there's Santa!.....he was a pretty nice guy!"
Cheese ball
Reagan and my sis Michelle came for a bit last weekend to shop. Reagan and Trenton eating snacks at the bar of course.
Reagan tootie
Watching tv...I acutally think they were watching that Bear guy on that survivor man show.
Papa John (my dad) came to visit last week. He is recently retired! and sooooo happy about it. "Every night is fri night and every day is sat!" That is his new motto...seriously. Trenton loves him some Papa John. He is in awe of his height, wants to be big like him (likely),and watches him closely. If my dad has on boots, Trenton goes and puts boots on. If my dad says "I have big stinky feet" Trenton wants big stinky feet too.
Trenton at Chuck E Cheese. Whack a mole! A personal fav.
Trenton and Daddy on a simulator ride. Trenton's face is about as serious as a heart attack the whole time. He was like that at Silver Dollar City this summer too. The most exciting rides and roller coasters and he shows NO emotion until the ride is over, then he smiles...too funny.
New playgroup..well this pic is about 3 weeks old. Looking at everyone else's photo of the kids, mine is even worse. Trenton was excited to have a big boy buddy, TREVOR! This is going to get confusing....
Making brownies with Mommy a few weeks ago. Trenton loves helping in the kitchen...he can practically make his own Easy Mac (an essential life skill I might add).
Trenton on Sunday with some major Spring Fever. We ALL smiled a little bigger this weekend!
On the back of his Jeep. Rides this all over the backyard. When the back tires spin, he gets out and looks under the hood. I swear I did not teach him this.....creepy.
What's that I see.......green sprouts???.....day lillies????? Yipee!!
Sheer joy
So proud of his gummie sucker..
Hmmm. I'm going to tear into this....
Two handed tear into it!! (The crazy hair is after a wild day at school, went with a mohawk, came home looking homeless).
Eating a snowball his daddy told him to throw at me while sledding.
Making snow angels. He saw Max and Ruby do this the other day. He was pretty excited!
Playing around the house. Trenton likes to build "nests".
Jumping in his nest.
