Ice storm

Well, we survived....barely. We were lucky and only had power out for a day and 1/2. I can't beleive I'm actually saying that. It may not sound "that bad", but let me just tell you, it sucked!! Doesn't take long for your house to become a frozen igloo (even with a gas fireplace) We couldn't even be there during the day. We drove around (warm in car) and hung out at some friends and fam(Tammy). Wal Mart had power for a little bit, so we also hung out there. After our power came on, Amber, David, and girls camped at our house. They finally got power last night. I know some are probably still without. Here are some pics.

I took this today from my car. This is the K-Life house.

Also from my car, this is a house on our street.

Ice Storm

We are at Tammy's today! No power to about 50,000 here in NWA. We are 3 of them. So sad to see this beautiful place ruined by all this ice. All trees broken and down.....I hate that.
We pulled the tempurpedic in front of our gas fireplace last night and hunkered down. It was FREEZING. Trenton stirred all night and was awake and ready to go at 4:15 am. I don't know how he is still functioning (or how we are). Pray that we get electricity soon!! Asked a SWEPCO truck at the end of our street this am if they were working on our street. They said their goal today is to just get main lines up, all residential will "hopefully" be fixed tomorrow. UGHHHHHH!

Happy Birthday Erin!

Friday night was Erin's Birthday. Fun times at Bonefish! Bob, the trainer from the Biggest Loser, was there! Really cute! Erin and Leah went over there to meet him. (Leah knew the WalMart exec's he was with) My mom thought we should of told him that we all use to be like 500 lbs. Maybe he would really like us then! ha

Chick Fil A Playground

Last week, Matt and I took Trenton to play at ChickFilA (ok, we wanted one of those peppermint chocloate shakes). He kept going up the big tube slide a few feet then sliding down. Matt and I kinda quit paying attention after a few min. (We were the only people there) All of a sudden we heard him yelling at us from the top part! He made it all the way up. Nervous Nellie parents we are, my blood starting pumping a little harder because I didn't know where he was going to go from there. He had a ball! He thought he was pretty cool!

Here are some pics before church today. We were actually running on time!!

Trenton- 20 Months

Trenton turned 20 months at the beginning of January. Hard to believe. I won't be able to say "months" anymore once he turns 2. I'll just get to say "2". He is a little sponge these days...soaking up everything he hears and sees. He dumped the bag of goldfish on his head in my car and said "mess!!". I said "That's right I guess." He likes to bring me things around the house while I'm in the shower (when Matt's not home, I never get a shower with the door closed). Last week, he brought be a lamp with the shade off and kept trying to tell me all about it while he tried to put it in the shower with me. He also brought be a container of salsa (yesterday). I guess I forgot to lock the fridge. Here are some pics of us playing while Flash, Sara, and Lily (and Debbie too!) came over to watch the Florida/Oklahoma game.

Trenton can't smile for the camera without saying "CHEEEEZZZEE" and putting his fingers on his cheeks.

He loves wearing HATS!

Mommy getting her workout again pushing Trenton around in his Tonka truck. This was the greatest present Uncle Jon and Aunt Jenny...my hamstrings thank you.

Christmas in Iowa/Illinois

Trentons first plane ride. He did great! He kept yelling "Plane!" In this picture, he is pushing the button that makes the arm go up and he says "ut-oh" because earlier he stood up and pushed the flight attendant button and he got in trouble. He just needed more "IIIICCCCEEE!!"Bad hair day too....Grammy cut it later. Trenton got bored a the airport in Moline, so he started doing handstands.

Taking a bath at Grandma LaLa's. He went BIZERK! Made Grandma laugh.

Going for a ride with Papa John in the ??loader, looked like a bulldozer with tires to me. It goes really fast! They went to this big tire pile and threw loads of tires up in the air. Dad said he didn't like that so much :) I'll try to upload the video later.

Merry Christmas

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We had a great time! Trenton was so much fun to watch this year. He really got into presents and "Ho Ho". Matt and I set everything up on Christmas Eve (I can't wait to do this every year--I was practically giggling while we put together his tricycle). We went into his room Christmas morning with the video camera and told him HoHo brought him presents. He had a very curious look on his face and ran out to the living room. He jumped into his tent and didn't even see the rest!! As he ripped opened presents, he would gasp even though he had just gotten to the box. I got his reaction to his first disappointing present (from Mama of course). It was a shirt and he just stared at it, then took it out of the box and threw it. Daddy told him it is the "first of many to come in your life buddy".

Some of his favorites were his Handy Manny tool set, tricycle, tent, saxaphone (you got a playing partner Jack!), and his dinosaur (it walks and growls!) We love you little man!! You're Daddy's "lil buddy" and Mama's "sugar booger"
