I thought I would write about Trenton's major meltdown in Target today to make a few friends feel better about their past and future Target visits with their toddlers, you know who you are..
No, a child was not murdered in Target today, that was my sweet little 2yo throwing the hugest fit of his life. I attempted to leave him in the bike aisle, but that didn't seem to bother him any. I watched him from around the corner for several min and I swear I heard him mumble "thank goodness she finally left." I won't bore you with the part that happens in the middle, its basically me threatening him and me trying not to lose my composure. The story ends with me leaving my cart in the middle of target filled with my stuff with Trenton under my arm kicking and screaming as I walked completing composed and smiling out the door. I will not tell you what happend after that for legal reasons (ha) but I don't think it will be happening again. In fact, I'm pretty sure he's afraid of the word "Target" So......if anyone found a cart with a bathroom trashcan, toilet paper, and a shoe rack in the main middle aisle, that was mine and I will be back for it on my lunchbreak Mon. afternoon.
I hope this makes you feel better about your children. Mine is definately far from perfect..
