Snowed In

Here are OUR snow pics everyone. Everyone else has theirs up. We got ice the night before (maybe an inch) then it snowed almost all day Fri, and not just a little, it was a blizzard! Matt got to come home early so he took Trenton outside to play and sled down the driveway (in the recycling bin lid--whoo hoo!) Looks like we are going to be at home all day today too.

Eating a snowball his daddy told him to throw at me while sledding.

Making snow angels. He saw Max and Ruby do this the other day. He was pretty excited!

Playing around the house. Trenton likes to build "nests".

Jumping in his nest.

Labels

These are the stickers that Trenton got on his back yesterday while I went to the gym. I kind of chuckled when I saw the second one but thought it was a great idea. I started thinking about that while I worked out (more like strolled around the track) and thought "what if we had a label on our back with one word summing us up for that day?" I thought of many things mine could say but right now I just want it to say "pregnant." I feel very pregnant although I don't look very pregnant so I would want everyone to know why it look like I drank too much beer or had a really good Christmas. What would your label say???

Will Go Potty 4 Popsicles!!

Well, it's official....Trenton is pottytrained!! Easier than I thought really. Fri. afternoon he said "I don't want to wear a diaper anymore." That was where it all began. We have stayed home all weekend wearing just underwear and he did great! Had an accident Sat. am (well 2 small ones, he wasn't "finished" with the first accident) but has gone in the potty everytime since then. The motivater.....popscicles! The more he eats....the more he pees!

Happy Dance!!

More Happy Dance

I'm not sure what this face is....I said "smile". What a stinker! I am so proud of my big boy!!

Little Gym Medal Day

Saturday was Trenton's last day at The Little Gym. It was "show/medal day". More like "chaos day." Trenton's cousin Reagan was in town so she came along and played too. Aunt Michelle got lots of shopping done that day. Friends and relatives came to watch the kids. Not OUR friends and relatives but that's ok. As far as I'm concerned, relatives can watch Trenton at the mall inside playground and get the same amount of action. He runs like a wild man for about an hour and wants nothing to do with any class activitiy. Hopefully he'll be in soccer this spring and it will be a little more his style..
Trenton and Reagan stopped to actually smile for the camera.
By the end of the class, he was a trainwreck and wanted nothing to do with standing up on the podium to receive his medal. He is pissed, can you tell?

Climbing the obstacle course.

Cute Avery, Emily's little one, climbing on the beam.

Supposed to be doing a bean bag song/activitiy with the class. He is of course too busy for something so silly. He does have the bean bag in his hand though....
I am slowly cleaning out the guest bedroom today. Michelle took some things back home for her house and my lil sister's friend bought the mattress and is coming to pick it up today. I am taking all of the things off the wall in my office and getting ready to start making it into the new baby's room. I have a long way to go. I find out what the sex of the baby is soon and I want to be ready to start decorating!!! Turing the guest bedroom into a playroom with a sleeper sofa for guests. Can't wait. Trenton still doing good in his bed. The last 2 naptimes have been good. We had a couple of rough ones where he kept putting toys in his bed. Hope he keeps this up!
Last note....if you want a good laugh....go to The Nicodemus Family blog and read her last post. For some reason, I think we could be great friends....she sounds hilarious.

Kind of Big Boy Bed

Well, with Baby 2 on the way, I've started some transitions in my house. First, Trenton's room. He LOVES his crib. Has NEVER gotten out and when asked if he wants a big boy bed, firmly answered NO! I LOVE my bed. I am not buying another one so we started the process. I took the front off (the whole time we did this we kept telling ourselves we were crazy). We bought a safety rail (which is practically the size of the crib). The kicker is he has the freedom to get in and out. I want him to have this freedom and learn to stay in on his own BEFORE we bring home a new baby. So far he loves it and stays in until I get him in the morning. Only one bump in the road so far.....naptime today. I heard him messing around on the monitor (as usual for naptime) and decided to check in. He had like 20 books, all his tools/nails/screws, and about 10 stuffed animals in there. We had a little chat about the rules of a big boy bed. We'll see how this goes. I can't wait to order the bedding I have picked out for his twin bed and change things up a bit. I took off the skirt, bumper, and changed the lamp (no more baby lamp). Things are looking a little plain for now I guess.

The essentials...Mr. Ribbits-check, Teddy-check, Puppy-check. Ohhhh and now cupholder...big check check!!

The other morning I caught Trenton on my bed with the bag of Marshmellow Mayteys (my fav). He was dumping them out, picking out the marshmellows...who am I to judge.

Look at that face.....guilty!!!

16 weeks

Today I went to the doctor for a checkup (15-16weeks). I didn't get to see my regular Dr. that I see all the time but that was ok. Little baby's heartrate was just perfect. He kept the doppler on there a while while we talked so I heard it for a long time. I wish I could just wear one of those things all the time. At first it was 140, but after a few min. it went up to 150. We could hear all the movement "it" was doing too, so that's why it's little heart rate went up. (Just like me walking up the stairs to the clinic....sad). He said "I'm suprised you can't feel it moving, with it being your second and you being so tall and thin." Yep, he's now my favorite, he called me thin....something I feel NOT SO MUCH OF! I quickly told him it was an illusion because of my height and as a matter of fact I DID feel lil peanut move this am in bed. Matt thought I was crazy. My next appt. is at 20 weeks for an ultrasound. We are very anxious for that appt to come. I want everything to be ok so I can worry a little less....and we can find out the sex!

My car outside temp said 3 this morning on my way to my appt. Radio said more like -10 to -15 with the windchill. That is the only time I have been outside my house for the last 2 days. RIDICULOUS!! to say the least.

Trenton and I have been warm and cozy inside this house. I play cars most of the day, "fix things" when I'm not playing cars, and take LONG naps while he does. I am still requiring the same amount of sleep as an infant these days. I have also caught up on my house, which I've been trying to do for like a year. I feel an amazing sense of accomplishment having all my laundry done, dishes clean, and my floors clean AT THE SAME TIME. We all know, it won't last. I can almost see dust gathering as I type.

Happy New Year & more SNOW!!

Happy New Year! We are ready for a new year filled with big events, many 1sts, and great memories. We haven't been up to much these days. Poor Matt is coming out of a terrible bout of strepp throat/ear infections. I didn't think adults got those but he did. He started the year at 2am with night sweats/chills and a high fever. I'm glad the medicine has started working and we are starting to see the old Matt come back.....we missed him. (He literally did not move or talk for like 2 days).

We were also suprised to see snow this am! I have been a busy bee around the house and have not been keeping up with the news. I guess everyone else knew it was coming. It was a nice suprise though. Here are some random pics and some new pics today of the snow..

Little man puttin down one of his many "cutie oranges" he eats everyday.

When my mom was here a few days ago, I put her diet coke in this as a joke. Trenton found it later that day and put his sippie in it. It was quite a site to say the least.

Checking out the snow.

About to hit mommy with a snow ball.

Daddy taught Trenton to eat the snow. Fabulous....

He said "yummmmm...it's icy!"

White Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas here at the Trumbo house. It was white and pretty outside and warm and fuzzy inside. It was just us three amigos in person but our whole family in spirit as we opened gifts sent from everyone.

Trenton made out quite well considering all of our family and Santa of course. His face was priceless when he saw everything. He put his hands on his chest and said "All for me?!"
I spent a good part of the day sorting out all his old toys. Pretty ridiculous when you see it in one big heap (what you are packing away/giving away) I can't wait to sell all of this stuff one day, I might retire early. Baby 2 has it made.
BTW...speaking of baby 2. I am 15 weeks today! This pregnancy is different from Trenton's. I FEEL pregnant (or maybe I'm milking it because it is likely my last). I have a small bump (Matt says I'm imagining things) I'm not imagining that my skinny jeans don't fit and I feel like a blob. I found some really long Rock and Republic jeans (maternity) with an adjustable waist (yes, like toddler pants). Lets just say it was a really good day...thank you Santa.
I am still tired (2nd trimester), I am hungry all the stinking time (so I eat all the stinking time). I don't remember this SO much with Trenton. But....I still LOVE being pregnant and can't wait until its a "real bump".
Here are some pics from yesterday:

He loved the snow.
The goods.
GI Joe
You KNOW that was not from us. But THANKS! :)

This is about excited as Trenton gets for the camera. (His father's child for sure) I kept telling Trenton it was Jesus' birthday and he said "no it's not!....it's daddy's!"

Chirstmas Eve

Tonight we went to GiGi and Poppy's house for Christmas Eve dinner and presents. Trenton had a blast and stayed hyper for a while after we got home. Don't ask me how he fell asleep, he must have CRASHED.
Matt and I had fun setting everything up under the tree. It's sleeting/snowing right now so we're supposed to wake up to a white Christmas. We'll see.....
These pics are totally out of order...

Matt putting together Handy Manny workbench. He is gonna freak!

Daddy and Trenton reading Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Running around like a wild man!

Riding his new scooter from GiGi and Poppy.

Matt's lil sis, Alexis, is quite the singer. She got an early Christmas present tonight......an amp and a microphone. She does great in front of people. She sang this year at the fair and was awesome!!

He knew how to ride the scooter without us telling him. He sees the "big boys" in our neighborhood.

Digging in!

"What's in here?" (scooter)

He was just elated about his first present....a candy cane from Lexi.

Waiting to open presents...he knew that big one was for him.

Eyeballing all the food.

Lexi

Sydney supervising. She made the most awesome red velvet cake, yummy.

"Caught ya!" Trenton loves to jump on GiGi's bed.

Ready for Christmas

After my last min. shopping this afternoon, I am officially ready for Christmas. Trenton has been ready for a while....he asks every morning if Santa came. It's hard for him to understand "time concepts." We are ready for a long break and fun times with family. I will post pics of our get togethers as they happen. Here are some pics of my decorations... I wish we never had to take it down!

Living Room Christmas tree. I wish you could read the pillows on the chairs. They say "Naughy" and "Nice".

Trenton's sport tree in his room.

Entry table. Proudly displaying Trenton's rulodph pic he made today at school.

**Thanks to my friend, Emily, for lending me her old camera until a I get a new one. I'm sooooo greatful!
