Two small arms to hold you tight, two small feet to run, two small eyes full of love for you, three small sons.

Trenton Loves the Guitar

After swimming in the backyard tonight, Trenton ran around the house with no diaper for a while (which I guess is liberating). He loves the guitar and was mezmerized by the Dave Matthews DVD. Here he is..
Little naked boy watching Dave.
Hey mom...C'mon I'm naked!

I'm gettin outta here!

Ok....maybe one more look.

4th of July Weekend

Scroll down.....whoops!

Trenton and I headed up to my Dad's condo on Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. We suprised Dad and David and Emily (neice and nephew--Grammy's). They were excited to see us! We had a great time even though the sun made very few appearances. Trenton was worn out from all the fun! Also posting pics from Trenton's last swimming lesson...the teacher let Trenton jump in and go deep under the water and come up himself, he was not informed that this would be happening so he was initially a little shook up but got over it quickly.
Ok.....so I told Trenton to say "cheese" and he put his fingers on his cheeks again, so I told him to put his hands by his side and this is what he did! Cheerleader pose!! Hilarious!

Ok, that is better. Why is this so hard!!??

Getting ready for an early boatride/tubing. Yes, that's the cheerleader pose again.

David, Emily, and Trenton...ready to go at 8:30am!! We're trying to beat the 4th crowd, which by the way was crazy (we weren't going to boat/tube with kids when there were a million drunk people on the lake)
Trenton and I went tubing (VERY SLOWLY) against Matt's wishes...but he never looks at this blog so I thought it would be alright. A duck passed us. Dad wanted to go faster but I wouldn't let him.
On our way to the Jolly Roger to eat yummy breakfast buffet.
Trenton at Jolly Roger watching in pour! We waited it out before we headed back home.

Sporting the spiderman lifejacket.

I wanna drive Papa John!!!

Swimming at the pool. He wore himself out jumping in over and over.

Major Meltdown

I thought I would write about Trenton's major meltdown in Target today to make a few friends feel better about their past and future Target visits with their toddlers, you know who you are..
No, a child was not murdered in Target today, that was my sweet little 2yo throwing the hugest fit of his life. I attempted to leave him in the bike aisle, but that didn't seem to bother him any. I watched him from around the corner for several min and I swear I heard him mumble "thank goodness she finally left." I won't bore you with the part that happens in the middle, its basically me threatening him and me trying not to lose my composure. The story ends with me leaving my cart in the middle of target filled with my stuff with Trenton under my arm kicking and screaming as I walked completing composed and smiling out the door. I will not tell you what happend after that for legal reasons (ha) but I don't think it will be happening again. In fact, I'm pretty sure he's afraid of the word "Target" So......if anyone found a cart with a bathroom trashcan, toilet paper, and a shoe rack in the main middle aisle, that was mine and I will be back for it on my lunchbreak Mon. afternoon.
I hope this makes you feel better about your children. Mine is definately far from perfect..

Trenton the Mechanic/Model/Swimmer

Here are some random pictures from this last week. Man, the weeks sure do fly by. Trenton's new thing is making obnoxious boy noises (preferrably in restaurants) and pretending that there is a monkey in the house/on my car/under the table at restaurants. He even blames his toots on "the monkey"
I brought the carseat in yesterday to take off my cover and the original cover to wash (pretty disgusting). Trenton stayed busy trying to figure out where the straps come through and so forth. He had that thing so screwed up by the time it was time to put everything back together (I haven't been that frustrated in a while.....I wanted to throw that big thing out the window!!)
Tretnon last night in the bath...we have all seen this face before. He thinks he has to put his fingers on his face when he says "cheese" sooooo... here's what you get without the fingers...

look at that natural smile...the fingers might be better, funny boy!

Trenton and I at Swim Ranch today. He is dog paddling and jumping in and going under now. Yeah my little fishie!!

Trying to get Trenton to relax and do a back float. He eventually does. Thanks for sneaking away from work Daddy to come watch us!!

Party Weekend

Last weekend, the fam had a wedding shower/cookout for Tammy and Seth and Tyler's 1st Birthday party. My house is party central these days!
This pic is not from the party, but can't be left out. We got Trenton a helmet for when he rides his trike so that he would be used to wearing it when he starts riding a real bike (per Dr. L's instructions). He wore the helmet 24/7 for the first week he loved it so much. He even tried to wear it to bed. We let him put it in the crib with him while he slept....wierdo..
Yummy petit fours!! Rick's is the best!!

Look at that SPREAD (inside joke)

Tammy and Seth, the couple of the night!

Wow..the next day, another nice SPREAD. Curious George theme, really cute monkey cake.
Hmmmm..not so sure.
This green frosting is pretty good.
About 5 minutes later... Happy Birthday Tyler!

Dr. Visit -2y.o. check up

Well, no pic for this post.. just an update on my little monkey's stats.

Went to the NEW pediatric clinic today, absolutely beautiful I must say. Trenton got to stand on the big scale and stand like a big boy to get measured. No more undressing and squirting pee all over, boy will I miss that. He weighs 29.00 lbs and is 35.5 in. tall. Dr. makes no comment on the head so I guess it's normal. I can't believe we actually worry about the size of their head by the way.. Trenton got a Eric Carle book from Dr. Livingston (which is really hard to say for a 2 yo but it doesn't matter because Trenton calls him Dr. Jones....who I work for).

Dr. Livingston told us to double their height at 2yo and add one inch for boys and subtract one inch for girls, and thats a good guess at how tall they will be. So we sat for a sec. and thought this out and both looked at each other and made a sour face like......"what?...only 6'1''?" I always imagined him being a beast like all the trumbos (skinny beasts that is) or like my dad. They are all over 6'5''. Dr. Livingston assured us that this was just a guess and actually laughed at our semi dissappointment. He reminded us that 6'1'' is a great height for a boy and that he was sure to have many girlfriends. HA At least he will be tall enough to date the Bohannan girls. Notice I said girlSS (plural) BRAD! hehe

The shocker came at the end of the appt. when he kindly informed us that Trenton needed his HepA booster. Mom and Dad were traumatized once again with a screaming child that broke our hearts but Matt didn't look like he was going to hit the nurse this time. He's doing much better.

Okay...maybe one picture. This is the only pic of Trenton with Dr. Livingston....HMMMM..which one was he anyway? I loved him that day because he got you breathing again! Darn umbilical cords.

On the Road Again

Well, we got the itch to get out of town again....we are suffering from vacationitis. We got up early Thursday morning and headed to Silver Dollar City. Trenton had never been and we have been told that he is a good age to go. Some of my Branson expert patients informed me that he has to be 36" to ride stuff so we did our homework and measured him at a smidge under 36". About 35.6999" to be exact (JK!) They let him ride anyway! They would look at me like they were going to say no and I would quickly reply "They let him to all the other rides!!" and then they would let us on. This wasn't entirely true because I said it on our first ride, but I thought what the heck, WE WANNA RIDE RIDES! Trenton rode everything except the roller coasters and water rides (log ride and big raft ride). We had lunch and then he took a long nap in the stroller. Matt and Trenton parked in the shade by a park bench and Matt "rested up" by Trenton while I hit the big roller coasters!! I can have a blast by myself on those!! I can't wait until Trenton is big enough to ride those with me. Matt will be the bag watcher (WEENIE)
Trenton was not too fond of this character...she (really a he) was hilarious!

Trenton playing ball toss game...."everyone's a winner..winner,winner,winner" hehe
Taking a nap..I'm so glad Trenton loves his nap. Makes our lives easier! And who doesn't love looking at sleeping kids?!
From our hotel room. Our room overlooked the fountains at Branson Landing. We thought this would be fun and such a great ideal until it was fountain showtime after Trenton went to bed. He kept saying "What's that!?" Thank goodness the last show was at 10:00.

Everyone is Engaged!

Well, the last 2 sisters are engaged as of this evening. Mike proposed to Rachel tonight! So, Tammy and Seth are getting married this July and Rachel and Mike haven't gotten to the date yet.....but are definatley planning a destination wedding! Congrats Rachel and Mike! And...an official congrats to Tammy and Seth on the blog!!

Rachel's ring.

Check out our pictures!

We have been back from Destin FL for over a week now and still no post....until NOW!! The slideshow of pics is on the right of the blog page. I was experimenting with this so I didn't pick and choose the pics I wanted for the blog. Sorry...you are going to have to flip through all of them.
Trenton was at such a good age for the beach this year. The beach was like a giant sandbox for him. He like the ocean for a couple of days. He would sit on Matt's lap and let the waves come up in his lap. Well, the tide was a little high and rough that day and after a wave knocked him over out of dad's lap, that was the end of that. He started yelling "I go HOME!"
The kiddie pool was a big hit and the highlight of Trenton's vacation. This is where he wanted to be most of the time. Lots of kids to play with and lots of toys to steal. Although I have to say Trenton has become quite the sharer lately. He is starting to catch on to things.
May is the best month for NO RAIN in FL--go figure...No rain but one odd chilly day. Really windy and about 70 (so the weather man said), felt at least 65 with the wind. We donned clothes for the beach that day and did the outlet shopping (the got a Crew Cuts -JCrew for kids!!!!) and played at The Track. We learned that Trenton DID NOT like the caged ferris wheel (looks like a zipper for kids) Loved everything else though.
We got to spend time with Aunt Jo, Uncle Bill, Aunt Wendy, Aunt Katy, and Uncle Ben, and little cousin Mason. It was great seeing you guys! Uncle Bill took the kids out for a little spin on his HUGE fishing boat. Trenton thought that was pretty awesome!!
Trenton also got his first bike ride. We rented bikes to ride around Baytowne one afternoon. Trenton looked so cute on the back of Daddy's bike with his little helmet on. He loves bikes now!
Can't wait to go back!!

Slip N Slide!!!

Thought I would post this video before church (I actually have time!) I'll post pics of mothers day later. Trenton got this slip n slide from PePaw Roby for his birthday. Matt busted it out last Sun (I think) Whoa!! It was a hit! Even got me out there, it was freezing!! Trenton doesn't mind the cold one bit!! Looking forward to the hot summer days..

Birthday Weekend!!

Last weekend, we celebrated Trenton's 2nd bday (Sat) and Reagan's 4th bday (may16). It was an action packed weekend with lots of family fun! We had a full house and on top of that, Michelle and I had a huge garage sale Sat. morning. I found out my house has a running path through the kitchen and around through the hall.

I can't believe Trenton is 2. He is so much fun and such a huge handful at the same time. He wants to do EVERYTHING by himself (NOOO! I do it!!) And my favorite pharases: "I did it!" "I sorry" (he has to say that one a lot) and "Wuv you"
Here are some pics
Mama, Daddy, and Little Man
Trenton managed to eat his cake and ice cream without one mess on his shirt, what a difference from last year.

How stinking cute is Tyler!!!!???

Birthday boy giving us a "CHEESE!!"

Cam showing Trenton how to drive his new jeep. Trenton's face was priceless when he saw that Jeep. He wants to sit and listen to the radio in the garage ALL THE TIME.
Don't miss the next post....

Trenton's Monkey Party

Trenton had a second bday party on Sun (never again). It was originally planned to be at The Little Gym in Rogers with about 10 kids, but slowly throught the week the calls started coming in reporting sick kids, out of town kids, and busy kids. With the party dwindled to 3 kids, we decided to cancel The Little Gym last minute and have the party at our house....again.

It was very relaxed and fun. Jack and Avery came as well as Miss Lilly. Trenton got lots of beach toys (leaving in 1 week!!) so he should be set for the sand!!
By the way....the scab on his nose is from trying to make the Tonka truck into a skateboard.

Jackson's Bday Weekend

I know I stink at posting lately, I have a million excuses really but what it boils down to is I'm lazy. I'm going to have a big weekend this weekend to post because tomrrow by baby turns 2!! So here I am catching up, be sure to keep scrolling after this post, there is one more.
Michelle and the kiddos came last minute last weekend (yeah!) We balanced three children and shopping very well. All three kids napped at the same time everyday so we could escape one at a time to fully maximize shopping time alone. The best part of the weekend was Jackson's bday party. He is 10 days older than Trenton. They are going to be best buds I know. Here are some pics...

Trenton and Jack on the tractors. They fought over the Deere!! It was a John Deere party so maybe that's why..

Trenton wearing on of Jack's presents. Trenton kindly took it from him (bad 2 year old!) and tried it out.

Rea Rea (as Trenton calls her) and T playing on Jack's new swingset.

Trenton trying to butt in on Jack's birthday moment. Jack got a smash cake again this year because it didn't go over too well last year. He loved it this year (so did my little piggie). Better watch out, Jack's coming to your party to crash it like you did his!

T and Kyle (Jack's dad) taking it all in. Happy Birthday Jackson!!

Farm Friends

Here are some pics of last week of us at 'Farm Friends' at the UofA farmgrounds. What boy/small child does not like the smell of pigs, dirt, and fresh manure. Trenton was a little startled by the rooster who cawed his rooster song about every minute. He petted some bunnies and a baby goat (is this the typical story of a child at a petting zoo or what) Fun times..

Trenton's not taking his eyes off that horse, he DID NOT want to pet his nose!

This horse is much nicer, just my size!!
